Interview with MallWorld Lead Illustrator, Chuck Lin!

MW: Hi Chuck. When did you begin illlustrating items for MallWorld?

Chuck: February 2010.

MW: How did you know that your wife Brandy was the one?

Chuck: [In] 2010, October. I know she is the one not because we had a good time together. It is because we had a lot of hard times and we still want each other. Long distance is a biggest challenge (Brandy lives in Taiwan) even though we Facetime everyday and send love letters often. It is still sad you cannot have the one you love beside you. We only see each other in person 45 days total in 19 months, but we never gave up, and I’m glad we did not.

MW: When did you get married? What was the wedding like?

Chuck: January 21st, 2012. I remember my wife is like an angel. I made some gifts myself and painted the wedding portrait. Just try to make this moment the best.

MW: Does Brandy’s style inspire your illustrations?

Chuck: Definitely. I cannot draw anything that I don’t have feeling for. Brandy is for sure my muse. I really enjoy drawing her and everytime I’m drawing Brandy [it] just makes me smile and happy.
